As part of the memorandum of understanding signed between the Nuclear and Radiation
Monitoring Authority and Minia University on February 10, 2026, the Nuclear and
Radiation Monitoring Authority hosted students from the Faculty of Science at
Minia University.
This meeting was held in line with the continuous efforts of Minia
University and Faculty of Science to bridge the gap between academic side and
practical real, in the attendance of Prof. Dr. Hamdi Farghal Mohammed Professor
of Nuclear Physics at the Faculty, who supported this visit and active
participation of several faculty members, teaching assistants, and talented
faculty students interested in scientific knowledge and research.
This academic visit aimed to familiarize students with the vital role of the
Authority and its major monitoring and organizational tasks within the country.
The visit program included a comprehensive field tour, during where the
delegation learned about the authority’s departments and work mechanisms within
its various sectors. The program also featured a valuable awareness lectures
focused on enhancing students’ understanding of the Authority’s strategic role in protecting human, supporting national safety
system, and ensuring environmental protection from radiation hazards.
